These are smaller than our 50mm binoculars, handy for many applications. They use roof instead of Porro prisms to make the design less bulky. Small enough to easily fit in your glove box, rucksack or panniers. They are very easy to hold for long periods.
Our waterproof models not only have watertight seals but are nitrogen filled to avoid condensation.
The optics are level IV and the prisms are BAK-4, so these are our highest quality optics.
These are a nice light set of binoculars which give extremely sharp images even in low light conditions. They also have a generously wide field of view. Perfect for bird watching.
The 42mm lenses let it a good bit more light than our 32mm set so are better in poor light conditions. They also mean there's a larger exit pupil so you get more resolution in the image.
The 8x42s have a lower magnification but a larger field of view compared to the 8x42. The 8x42s are better for finding birds in flight, the 10s are better for stationary targets.
The eyecups twist up and down, this saves space when stored. If you wear glasses just leave them down for a perfect eye relief setting. If you don't wear spectacles just give them a quick twist and they'll position the eyepieces at just the right distance from your pupil.
