It's been a few weeks now, and I've had several good opportunities to put these binoculars through their paces. My verdict? It's just one word. WOW!!!

I saw some wonderful views from my back garden (even with ever-present light pollution as described in my earlier emails.

Remember I said how much I wanted to see things like the Andromeda Galaxy? Well, I did just that and was amazed at what I saw. A fuzzy object, distinctly shaped like a fat cigar, with a definite brightening at it's centre! I've never been able to see it at all before. Scanning the sky further, I came across one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Two jewel-like scatterings of stars close together, one of which had a distinct antenna-like trail of stars leading away from it's cluster. After looking it up in one of my books, I learned it was the double cluster in Perseus.

Yes, during my recovery from my recent minor op, I've managed to get some decent viewing in (weather permitting!!).

I'm really impressed with these binoculars. They're easy to tripod-mount, and they're also considerably lighter than I expected. And the quality of the optics is like nothing I've ever experienced before.
